Peppermint Oil For Headaches

Just a quick note to anyone suffering from a headache. (Dave was last night) Put a drop or two of NSP's Peppermint Oil on your finger and wipe it across your forehead. Just as fast as an aspirin or tylenol, your headache will be gone and you've avoided putting those nasty drugs into your system that can do damage to your stomach and liver.

And for major headaches, wet a rag with cold water and put four or five drops of NSP's Peppermint Oil onto it and lay it across your head. This works wonderful! Just make sure you keep it out of your eyes, it is quite potent.

You can find NSP's Peppermint Oil as well as all of the essential aromatherapy oils on our website.

Enzymes: Unlocking Your Body's Potential

Enzymes are some of the most awesome organic compounds that we know of. They start vital chemical reactions in our bodies. And each enzyme works in a unique way inside of us. Digestive enzymes are especially important because they help breakdown the foods we eat into elements the body can use for energy, not to mention assisting with the bodies structural building blocks, like amino acids, essential fatty acids and glucose.

Unfortunately, enzymes are not very hardy. Every time we cook our food we inactivate the natural enzymes needed for digestion. Add to that improper diet, stress and aging and we further diminish our enzyme levels. Inadequate enzyme levels and the resulting lack of complete nutrient absorption by our bodies can affect our immune systems, energy levels, skin, joints and overall mood.

Here are some of the great things enzymes do for the body;

*Aids in the breakdown of most foods

*Improves digestion

*Activates needed vitamins that would otherwise be wasted

*Releases minerals your body needs

*Supports your immune system

*Protects your joints

*Reduces symptoms of indigestion caused by fermentation of undigested foods

Foods are made up of various types of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Each food group requires different enzymes and other gastric secretions to break them down into nutrients that can be absorbed and used by our cells. If we are deficient in any one of these enzymes it can contribute to poor digestion and poor overall health.
